Do you remember the last time you heard a great song on the radio and you couldn't figure out what the song was? eMarker is a new service that makes your radio answer to you.

Whenever you hear a song on the radio that you like, all you have to do is push the button on your eMarker. Later, when you plug your eMarker into your PC, the eMarker.com website tells you what song you were listening to. You can hear a preview of the song, find out more about the artist, or even buy the album directly from an online music retailer.

One of my favorite things about the net is the ability to visit foreign lands in a virtual way. Take a journey with CARE to Nepal and zoom through the bustling streets of Katmandu. Trek to southern Nepal's sweltering Terai district and soar over the Himalayas, coming face to face with Everest, the world's highest mountain.

Along the way, learn about the remote nation and CARE's self-help projects via journal entries, a photo album, recommended reading and related links. A truly fascinating journey.

Not so very long ago, Impressionist paintings were considered shocking. Few people cared to look at them and many museums wouldn't exhibit them. Today it is hard to imagine that no one had ever painted in this way until the arrival of Degas, Monet, Cezanne, Renoir, Van Gogh, and so many more.

Impressionism.org site offers an educational look at this once controversial movement including artists' biographies, downloadable lessons for teaching and most of all these magnificent paintings.

Cybertown is a futuristic community of colonies (463,000 members) where you can interact with others in virtual reality. Their multinational citizens inhabit and socialize in richly detailed 3D Blade Runner type worlds using avatars to represent themselves.

Citizens can immerse themselves in these virtual worlds by owning personal 3D homes, taking jobs in the community, forming clubs, and more. There's always something interesting to do and an ever-growing number of new people to meet. Immigration is free.

Long before MP3's, wav files, CD's and tapes, sound was stored on wax cylinder records. This site traces early audio recordings including antique phonographs, recording methods, excerpts of old-time marching band music, and rare vintage photos.

Whether you're a newcomer or are familiar with the old-time sounds, you'll enjoy this voyage into the wonderful recordings of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

You throw hesitation aside but look stupid.
To be truly uninhibited is a rare grace.
